A dryer is not a very complex device.

Regardless of brand the repairs fall into

the following groups:

1. My dryer won’t turn.

2. My dryer won’t get hot.

3. My dryer takes too long to dry.

4. My dryer makes a lot of noise.

5. My dryer won’t start.

Once you develop a complete

understanding of how a dryer operates, it

is easy to see how all these complaints

come about. Items #4 and #5 vary with

brand and will be covered in Lesson 4.
