Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance(see
Assistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
The internal light does not illuminate.
•Theplughasnotbeeninsertedintotheelectricalsocket,ornot
farenoughtomakecontact,orthereisnopowerinthehouse.
The refrigerator and the freezer do not cool well.
• Thedoorsdonotcloseproperlyorthesealsaredamaged.
• Thedoorsareopenedtoofrequently.
• TheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobisnotinthecorrect
position.
• Therefrigeratororthefreezerhavebeenover-filled.
• Theatmospherictemperature of the area surroundingthe
applianceislowerthan14°C.
The food inside the refrigerator is beginning to freeze.
• TheTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobisnotinthecorrect
position.
• The foodis in contact with the back inside wall ofthe
refrigerator.
The AIR fan does not rotate
• Therefrigeratordoorisopen.
• TheAIRsystemisonlyactivatedautomaticallywhenitbecomes
necessarytorestoreperfectoperationalconditionsinsidethe
refrigeratorcompartment.
The motor runs continuously.
• Thedoorisnotclosedproperlyoriscontinuouslyopened.
• Theoutsideambienttemperatureisveryhigh.
• Thethicknessofthefrostexceeds2-3mm(seeMaintenance).
The appliance makes a lot of noise.
•Theappliancehasnotbeeninstalledonalevelsurface(see
Installation).
•Theappliancehasbeeninstalledbetweencabinetsthatvibrate
and make noise.
•Theinternalrefrigerantmakesaslightnoiseevenwhenthe
compressorisoff.Thisisnotadefect,itisnormal.
Some of the external parts of the refrigerator become hot.
• Theseraisedtemperaturesarenecessaryinordertoavoidthe
formationofcondensationoncertainpartsoftheproduct.
The back wall of the refrigerator unit is covered in frost or
droplets of water
•Thisshowstheapplianceisoperatingnormally.
There is water at the bottom of the refrigerator.
•Thewaterdischargeholeisblocked(seeMaintenance).
