This innovative dual evaporator system found on select

models helps keep crystals o ice cream and fruits and

vegetables fresher. It uses the right humidity levels in the

right compartments for improved food preservation.

How it works

1. Two separate evaporators in the refrigerator

and freezer compartments work independently

to monitor and adapt temperatures as needed

2. When a sensor determines that a change in

temperature is needed, a control valve splits the

flow of coolant, sending it to the evaporator

controlling that compartment

3. The freezer maintains a dry, cold environment

with low-humidity to help prevent frost and

ice crystals while the fresh food compartment’s

evaporator provides a cool environment with

higher humidity levels

Adaptive Defrost

(available with both cooling systems)

This feature provides improved food preservation by

running the defrost cycle only when necessary. Sensors

monitor how often the compressor operates, as well as

when the doors are opened to help determine when a

defrost cycle is necessary.

Accu-Chill

™

management system

Select models feature a traditional, single evaporation

system that monitors temperatures and uses a fan to

move air from the freezer to the refrigerator. Built-in

sensors activate the compressor only when necessary

to conserve energy and keep food fresh.

How it works

1. A single evaporator works in sync with built-in

sensors to monitor both the refrigerator and

freezer compartment temperatures

2. When a change in temperature is detected,

a vent and a fan allow air to flow between

the two compartments as needed

3. The vent closes once the desired temperature

has been reached
