14. For mobile home installations the dryer must be ex-

hausted to the outside. If the dryer is exhausted through

the floor and the area under the mobile home is enclosed,

the exhaust system must terminate outside the enclosure.

Extension beyond the enclosure will prevent the accumu-

lation of lint and moisture under the mobile home. See

Figure 4.

For your personal safety. a metal elbow and at least 2 feet of

metal duct must be used at the outlet of the dryer. This

reduces the possibility of lint blocking the exhaust system

and minimizes the potential of a fire hazard. The 2 feet of

metal duct also helps make any service that may be needed

easier and prevents crushing the flexible duct when the dryer

is moved to its final operating location.
